LABORATORY TECHNICIAN

 

 

Role Description:

As a Dental Laboratory Technician at Trout Dental Laboratory, you will play a crucial role in the creation of dental prosthetics, including dentures and partials. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Manufacturing Dental Products: Fabricate high-quality dental prosthetics such as dentures, partials, crowns, and bridges using various materials and techniques.

  • Operating Laboratory Equipment: Utilize and maintain laboratory equipment, including casting machines, milling machines, and 3D printers, to ensure precise and efficient production.

  • Quality Control: Conduct thorough quality control checks to ensure that all dental products meet the highest standards of accuracy, fit, and aesthetics.

  • Analytical Skills: Apply analytical skills to troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during the manufacturing process, ensuring optimal outcomes for clinic partners and their patients.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with dental professionals, including dentists and orthodontists, to understand their specific requirements and deliver customized solutions.

  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of all work performed, including detailed notes on materials used, techniques applied, and any adjustments made.

  • Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest advancements in dental technology and techniques and actively participate in training and development opportunities to enhance your skills.

 

You Should Have:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent

  • Excellent eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity

  • High level of comfort with digital tools and technology

  • Robust vision capabilities and attention to detail, including depth perception and color

  • Passion for tackling problems and breaking them down into smaller manageable steps

  • Very high attention to detail and organizational skills

  • Team player attitude and willingness to help others to help the team exceed expectations

  • Strong ability to maintain a clean work area and keep equipment, tools, and supplies clean to avoid contamination with foreign material

  • Natural curiosity and ability to learn new concepts, tools, and workflows quickly

  • Strong self-motivation, self-direction, and ability to prioritize

  • Excellent communication and listening skills

  • Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English

  • Ability to sit for extended periods of time

  • 1+ years of experience in a fast-paced environment

Regular laboratory manufacturing takes place Monday through Thursday. Some weeks may require work outside of the regular schedule. This is an hourly role with a 90-day training period. The hourly rate during the training period ranges between $16-$18 depending on experience. Upon successfully completing the training period, the hourly rate will increase to $18-$25 based on skill level and experience.
